Danckaert was once a manufacturer of
woodworking machinery. They employed more than 1,100
employees in their factory and foundry plus 120 more in
direct branches and exclusive owned distributorships in more
than 20 countries. It was in 1958 when Roger Criau was
sent to the United States to start up a U.S. Danckaert
branch. In 1962, Danckaert Atlanta added the German
manufacturer, Maka, to its sales program.
In 1981, the Danckaert family, sole owners of
the Danckaert worldwide organization decided for personal and business
reasons to discontinue all operations. Some of the foreign
branches were purchased by their individual branch manager and so was
Danckaert Atlanta which continues operations under the Danckaert name
and ownership by Marc Criau.
Danckaert established a regional area where in
addition to our import lines, we act as distributors for other equipment
manufacturers. This area includes Georgia, Alabama and northern
Florida. This is covered by a separate and dedicated sales force.
