Danckaert originally began in Brussels, Belgium, and was a manufacturer of
woodworking machinery. At it's peak, it employed more than 1,100
employees in it's factories and foundries, plus 120 more in
direct branches and exclusive owned distributorships in more
than 20 countries. At it's peak, it was the largest woodworking machinery manufacturer in the world. In 1958, Roger Criau accepted the opportunity to move to the United States to set up an American Danckaert
branch. Through the new branch, all of the machines Danckaert produced were made available to the american market.
In 1981, Danckaert-Brussels, sole owners of
the Danckaert worldwide organization decided for personal and business
reasons to discontinue all operations. Some of the foreign
branches were purchased by their individual branch manager,as was
Danckaert, USA. Danckaert Woodworking Machinery Company, as it is known today continues operations under the Danckaert name
and full current ownership by Marc Criau.
In addition to the entire United States, Danckaert established a regional area where in
addition to our import lines, we act as distributors for other equipment
manufacturers. This area includes Georgia, Alabama and northern
Florida. We strive to provide you with a pleasant experience while
providing the following services which set us apart from other importers and distributers:
